The Co-operative Bank launches new switching offer with £175 cash, access to a 7% AER Regular Saver, and a donation to Centrepoint for every switch completed.
The Co-operative Bank has today announced a new switching incentive offering up to £175 to new current account customers. Switchers receive £100 once their switch is completed, followed by £25 per month for three months.**
In addition to the cash reward, switchers can benefit from market-leading savings rates. Current account customers gain exclusive access to The Co-operative Bank’s 7.00% AER (gross) Regular Saver account, which allows customers to save up to £250 per month – a competitive option at a time when many households are focused on building financial resilience.
Customers choosing our Everyday Extra account, which gives customers access to travel insurance, breakdown cover and mobile phone insurance, will also get the first three months of subscription fees for free as part of an existing offer, taking the total value of the offer to £229.
Alongside the financial benefits, every switch contributes to the Bank’s wider social purpose mission. The Co-operative Bank will make a donation to its charity partner Centrepoint for every eligible switch request. The Bank aims to fund a warm bed for a young person facing homelessness on Christmas Day* for every six switches made by customers.
Hayley Lowell, Head of Current Accounts at The Co-operative Bank, said:
“Christmas is a wonderful time of year, but the costs can quickly snowball. We know many people are looking for ways to keep the festivities going without stretching their budgets too far.
“Switching your bank account is a simple step that can help put a little extra sparkle back into your finances. This offer gives customers a welcome boost at an expensive time of year – and every switch also helps give a young person a safe warm bed this Christmas. It’s a small change that can make a big difference.”
Julie Milnes, Director of Fundraising at Centrepoint, said:
“Winter is the toughest time of year for the young people who come to Centrepoint for help. Many have nowhere safe to stay, and the risk of sleeping rough is all too real.
Support from The Co-operative Bank and its customers enables us to provide warm, safe accommodation and the wrap-around support young people need to move forward with their lives. Every switch could help us reach another young person at the moment they need us most.”

About The Co-operative Bank
The Co-operative Bank p.l.c. provides a full range of banking products and services to retail and SME (Small and Medium Sized Enterprises) customers and is committed to values and ethics in line with the principles of the co-operative movement.
In 1992, The Co-operative Bank took the pioneering step to become the first UK bank to launch a customer-led Ethical Policy, which gives the Bank’s customers a say on the ethical issues that are important to them, and how the Bank could help. These answers form the basis of our Ethical Policy, shaping the Bank’s ethical commitments, the way in which it will use customer’s money and the issues it will campaign for. Since 1992, the Ethical Policy remains unique in the UK and has been updated six times in consultation with the Bank’s customers, to reflect their changing priorities.
In January 2025, The Co-operative Bank joined Coventry Building Society Group – a top 10 lender and the 2nd biggest building society in the UK.

Centrepoint’s youth homelessness estimate
Centrepoint estimates that between October and December 2025, 23,500 young people (16–24-year-olds) will present as homeless or at risk of homelessness to local authorities in England.
The estimate was calculated using data collected through a Freedom of Information (FOI) request carried out by Centrepoint every year since 2018. Local authorities provide data on the number of 16–24-year-olds who have presented themselves as homeless, which is broken down into quarters. Data points from October to December 2018–2024 were used to predict an estimate for the same quarter this year.
